Take the hassle out of managing an evolving anti-aging routine with the Retinol Starter Pack from Retriderm.

This powerful duo includes both the Retinol 0.5% and 1.0% Skin Serums to actively correct and perfect the skin night after night. Each potent serum works to address the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture and sun damage through the use of Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E and Soluble Collagen. Great for experienced Retinol users, this kit allows for quick and easy progression from one step to the next.

Suitable for most skin types, start by applying the 0.5% serum to clean skin in the evening 1-2 times a week for around two weeks. After this time, gradually increase usage to 3-4 times a week if skin can tolerate it. Once the skin feels ready, progress to the 1% serum and follow the same protocol for best results.

Please read the information below before purchasing this product.

This product contains Vitamin A. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or considering becoming pregnant we recommend that you do not use this product.

Please also be aware that Vitamin A helps to normalise skin cell activity, and as such increases the production of new skin cells. This may provide some short-term dryness. If irritation or persistent dryness occurs, reduce the frequency of application while the skin returns to normal, then resume use, building back up to the recommended usage. Always read and follow the directions for use on the product packaging.

Vitamin A can also make the skin more sensitive to daylight, always apply high level, broad spectrum sun protection such as Heliocare 360˚ to the skin every morning to prevent any inflammation and damage that can occur as a result of this increased sensitivity.

Start with the Retinol 0.5% and apply a few pumps to clean skin in the evening 1-2 times a week. After a few weeks, gradually increase usage to 3-4 times a week if skin can tolerate it.

After finishing this first bottle, if your skin feels ready to step up, move onto the Retinol 1%.

Apply in the same way, in the evening 1-2 times a week before gradually increasing to 3-4 times a week if skin can tolerate it. After application, wait around five minutes before applying a night time moisturiser if extra hydration is required.

When using Retriderm, it is important to apply a high factor sunscreen in the morning to protect the skin against UV rays as Retinol can make the skin extra sensitive.

Patch Test

If you are new to this product or any of its ingredients, we recommend completing a patch test first.

Use of Retinol

When using Retinol for the first time, it is important to allow the skin time to acclimatise to the active ingredient. Apply a small amount in the evening no more than twice a week, never on consecutive evenings, for at least two weeks. If the skin hasn’t suffered any extreme irritation or redness, start to increase the number of applications gradually over a period of weeks until you reach a number your skin is comfortable with. This could range from three nights to seven nights a week.

As Retinol can make the skin sensitive to sunlight, always apply a sunscreen to the skin every morning to prevent sun-induced inflammation and damage.
