The Cosmedix Refine Refinishing Treatment is a fast-absorbing Retinol treatment designed for problematic skin.

Formulated with 4% Retinol AGP Complex – a micro-encapsulated Retinol that penetrates the skin better and with minimal irritation – and L-Proline, this lightweight treatment resurfaces the skin while remodelling it beneath the surface. Dead and damage cells are removed, uneven texture is softened, and both collagen and elastin production are improved. Over time, this leads to a reduction in the appearance of fine lines, large pores, blemishes and sun damage.

Suitable for oily, combination and blemish-prone skin types, massage a small amount into cleansed skin every third evening. After a couple of weeks, gradually increase usage until it is applied nightly.

Apply one pump to cleansed skin in the evening every third night for two weeks before gradually increasing the number of applications as skin acclimatises to the Retinol content.

If you are new to this product or any of its ingredients, we recommend completing a patch test first.

Use of Retinol

When using Retinol for the first time, it is important to allow the skin time to acclimatise to the active ingredient. Apply a small amount in the evening no more than twice a week, never on consecutive evenings, for at least two weeks. If the skin hasn’t suffered any extreme irritation or redness, start to increase the number of applications gradually over a period of weeks until you reach a number your skin is comfortable with. This could range from three nights to seven nights a week.

As Retinol can make the skin sensitive to sunlight, always apply a sunscreen to the skin every morning to prevent sun-induced inflammation and damage.
